On February 5, 2020 Remine will release new features that provide relevant solutions to everyday agent needs. Below you’ll find an overview of new features that will be available to subscribers.

Client Facing Updates

Invite Co-Buyers

Your clients are now able to invite a co-buyer to share in the home buying journey. They can invite multiple co-buyers who then become associated with you, the agent.

Agent Profile Redesign

The agent profile has a fresh new look and feel. This gives you a more prominent, sophisticated profile page. This feature also includes a static ‘contact me’ card – encouraging prospective clients to contact you instantly. Simply scroll down to view active and recently sold listings. As before, you are still able to make edits to your profile via your settings.

Client Chat

You’re now able to chat with your clients, their co-buyers, and other agents within Remine. This new chat feature has a social media type feel – giving clients the everyday usability they crave while keeping the agent at the center of the home buying experience.

Agent Facing Updates

All Carts

This feature adds a ‘master cart’ function. By selecting ‘All Carts,’ you’re able to view a single list of every property you have within all of your carts. This allows you to sort properties, search for a specific address, manage columns, and perform bulk actions such as sending mailers, printing mailing labels, and exporting all properties into a CSV.

Customize Print Reports

We know what you put in front of your client is extremely important. As a result, you are now able customize sections in all printable reports – including which AVMs you would like to include in your reports and other sections such as: Public Record, Schools, Demographics, Property History, Valuation, and Associated People.

Public Record Data ‘One-Pager’

This feature enables you to compose a condensed, one-page version of a property’s public record data, with the option to include valuations.

Deeds & Plats

You now can purchase deeds and plats via Remine! This helps you ensure that the ownership of a property is clear when the deed is considered “clean.” Deeds & plats can be purchased using credits for $7/deed and $1/plat.

Advanced Flood Maps

Gone are the days of needing multiple flood tools. You can now toggle on and off the flood boundaries to get a better representation of where the property structure lies on the flood map. *This feature is available exclusively on Remine Pro.

Listing Updates for Clients: Ask Technical Terry

Ask Technical Terry Silhouette

Ask Technical Terry is a series RMLS™ aims to offer once a month. RMLS™ subscribers will drive the content—submit any question about RMLS™ to Technical Terry in the comments or by emailing communications@rmls.com. Don’t be shy—we won’t identify you by name.

Technical Terry:

I’m sure you’ve heard the stories about RMLS™ subscribers having to resort to using products from other brokerages to deliver new listings or changed listings to their clients in a timelier fashion. This seems contrary to the mission of RMLS™, is it not? Why do we not have tools available either within RMLSweb or within one of your approved third-party vendor integrations?

Frustrated in Fairview

Dear FF:

I understand your frustration and concern. I do have some good news for you in this area. Remine recently added some new functionality to an already great product that should solve the issue you mention above regarding delivery of new / changed listings to your customers in a timelier way. Here are some details on that new set of functionalities:

Saved Search

Stay up to date on property updates through the Saved Search feature! When you save a search, you’ll receive email notifications when new properties meet your search criteria, or when property characteristics change, like MLS status or listing price. You can also automatically update your client on the newest properties that meet your Save Search criteria.

How to get started with Saved Searches?

  1. Log into Remine!
  2. Set up your agent home page
  3. Create a saved search
  4. Manage your saved searches

Carts

The product feature formerly known as Track is now called “Carts.”

Carts enable agents to share specific properties or groups of properties with their clients and receive quick and easy feedback.

Previously, RMLS™ subscribers could maintain up to 100 properties with the Track feature, that number increases to 500 properties in Carts.

Consumer Portal Improvement

As a RMLS™ subscriber, you can create your own public-facing portal as a free lead capture system. To participate, you simply need to activate your Remine account and invite your contacts. The more invitations you send, the more visible you are to future clients.

You can invite unlimited contacts to your portal, to keep them tied to your business and the MLS.

Additional Enhancements from the recent Remine update:

  • New User Interface: A cleaner, more modern and intuitive user interface is now available, on both the desktop and mobile applications.
  • CMA 360: An improved CMA experience. Remine offers the only CMA in the industry that searches MLS and off-market comps.
  • Property Details Page: Format and layout have been improved
  • Tax Data: Tax data has been improved as well.

Remine Gets a Refreshed Look and More Features

Remine on Laptop in Cafe

Remine, available through RMLSweb since March, is getting a new look and some new features! This tool, which gives REALTORS® modern tools and a wealth of data for prospecting, made a series of changes to the site on September 30th.

Aside from a refreshed look, REALTORS® who explore the site will find two notable terminology changes: what used to be “Track” is now “Cart,” and what was called “Discover” is now “Search.”

Remine rolled out a public-facing website which REALTORS® can use for lead generation and to work with active clients to share property listings. Before members of the public may view properties on this site, they must choose an agent to work with as part of the registration process. In some cases these are new leads, and REALTORS® may log in to the site to connect with these future clients. (This client-facing site features a coral version of the Remine branding whereas the REALTOR® side features the color blue…you’ll be able to tell at a glance if you’re looking at the proper site!)

The company also launched their Remine mobile app (available through Google Play or Apple’s App Store), which REALTORS® may use to easily message clients or upload contacts from their device, along with using all the other functions of the full website.

RMLS™ users will have access to the starter version of the Remine site. REALTORS® who upgrade to the Pro version will have access to additional tools such as advanced search options, document management, a higher limit on carted/tracked properties, client credit reports, and more.

Mapping Improvements, Remine Button Now Live on RMLSweb

RMLS™ released two improvements to RMLSweb earlier this week intended to make things easier for subscribers: a new layout on Map Search, and a Remine button on the bottom of the Agent Full report.

Map Search Layout

After RMLS™ released its more responsive search pages in early February, we heard from subscribers that the layout in Map Search could use some improvement. Subscribers were having difficulty drawing shapes on the map, and navigating between the map and search criteria was difficult.

RMLS™ changed the layout, creating a layer of tabs so users may easily toggle between the map itself and the search criteria. Working with shapes and layers on the larger map should make things easier for subscribers.

Remine Button on Agent Full Reports

At the bottom of the Agent Full report on RMLSweb, users will now find a new Remine button alongside the buttons for Find, ShackShout, and RPR. Just like those buttons, the Remine button links to the property listing on Remine.

We think these changes may be relatively small, but they’re mighty! The layout changes on Map Search were the direct result of subscriber feedback, and both were intended to make your work on RMLSweb a little easier. As always, contact the RMLS™ Help Desk with questions about these improvements or to give any other feedback.

Overwhelmed: Ask Technical Terry

Ask Technical Terry Silhouette

Ask Technical Terry is a series RMLS™ aims to offer once a month. RMLS™ subscribers will drive the content—submit any question about RMLS™ to Technical Terry in the comments or by emailing communications@rmls.com. Don’t be shy—we won’t identify you by name.

Dear TT,

RMLS™ has done a great job finding products that provide great benefit to its REALTOR® subscribers, but at times it seems like there are just too many options! It seems like we have new tools to learn on a daily basis. Just recently I went to a training session for a new product called Remine, and now I understand there is another product coming soon called Homesnap. Can you tell me why I would choose one over the other? What are the differences?

Overloaded in Orenco

Dear OO,

Understood completely! It’s not just you—it’s even a challenge for our support and training staff to keep abreast of the rapid pace of innovation around RMLS™ these days.

Here’s a brief overview of the products you mention above.

Homesnap Pro

Homesnap Pro combines agent-only MLS data on a web portal with a mobile app for use in the field.

  • Provides real-time information to agents on the go, giving them the flexibility to research homes, interact with each other, and collaborate with clients from their mobile devices. Agents and consumers can use the same platform to seamlessly share real estate information and communicate directly.
  • Additional features of Homesnap Pro include real-time access to agent-only MLS information, information about any home, messaging with clients and agents, customized email marketing, CMA generation from a mobile device, and information about other agents.

Remine

Remine provides some of the same capabilities as Homesnap, but it really excels more for data mining. This means Remine provides users the ability to “watch” homes, neighborhoods, and people to best understand market motivation. Users can use this data to scientifically allocate marketing efforts toward specific properties or people that indicate potential motivation.

Remine has three main components on its app: Discover, Track, and Engage.

  • Discover: This is the map, where you can use layers to narrow down properties you want to target and set up farming areas to find opportunities.
  • Track: This is the list of properties and people you’re tracking. You can upload contacts to track data that will help you prioritize who you should reach out to, and when to reach out. You can use this page to export spreadsheets to use for mailers, call lists, or email campaigns.
  • Engage: This is your client dashboard, where you can keep track of your clients’ activities, invite new clients, and manage your leads.

Both Homesnap and Remine provide great benefits, but they have different strenghts. Homesnap provides great tools to engage clients, and Remine specializes in farming activities. Both products have amazing support portals available, containing plenty of how-tos in both written and video formats, there to help you decide which might work best for you.

The RMLS™ trainers are developing classes for both products, so keep your eyes on your local training calendar in the coming months!

TT

Hey Ask Technical Terry!

Homesnap seems like it’s going to be great for my workflow and working with my clients! My assistant told me that RMLS.com will be going away because of Homesnap—is this true?

Snappin’ for Homesnap

Hey Snappin’!

It is true: RMLS.com will redirect to Homesnap’s Broker Public Portal once RMLS™ rolls out the project on May 7th! We recently published a video about the change:

It’ll be a big change, but one that we think will better serve our REALTOR® subscribers and their clients. We can’t wait to hear what you think once Homesnap is live!
