RMLS™ Events:

-December 3: On Saturday, December 3rd, we will be completing part one of a two-part server move. This will require us to pull RMLSweb offline for one hour from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM while we move our corporate servers. During this brief outage, all RMLS™ websites will be unavailable. Beyond this one-hour unavailability of RMLS™ systems, the IMS (Internet Member Services) system may lose availability intermittently throughout Saturday evening as we move our servers.

-December 17-18 : On Saturday, December 17th and Sunday, December 18th, we will be moving our RMLSweb servers to the data center in downtown Portland. This will require us to place RMLSweb in maintenance mode for the weekend from December 17th to December 18th. While RMLSweb will be in maintenance mode, users will be able to search for listings and agent contact information. During maintenance mode, the searchable content on RMLSweb will be read-only and users will not be able to save searches, create profiles or enter listings.

Fair Housing Is As Easy As ABC, Let’s Do It With Some Poetry! (Part One)

Guest Post Written By Jo Becker, Education/Outreach Specialist, Fair Housing Council of Oregon

In typical Nadeen Green-style, following is a spirited take on the legalities of fair housing law in poetic form. Ms. Green is an attorney who has spoken on fair housing topics to residential rental audiences across the country since the Fair Housing Amendments Act’s inception in 1989.

Here at the Fair Housing Council (FHCO) we make ourselves available to those who feel their fair housing rights have been violated, as well as to those with fair housing questions, including housing providers! If you have a question about your rights or responsibilities under federal, state, and local fair housing laws, please visit us at www.FHCO.org or call our free Hotline at 800/424-3247 Ext. 2.
