DESCRIPTION:Consumers typically do not account for the long-term operating costs they take on when they purchase an inefficient product or home\, so most homeowners do not understand where energy (and therefore money) is being wasted in their home. They also do not understand the correlation between efficiency and the comfort\, health\, and safety of their home. \nThis course will take attendees through an energy performance score assessment; examine data and case studies for completed energy improvements; and look at energy efficiency from the perspective of homeowners\, prospective homebuyers\, lenders\, and appraisers. \nAttendance is free and attendees may earn up to 3.5 CE credit hours in Oregon.
