This two-day course provides an overview of different green certification programs and offers participants a hands-on exploration of green building techniques and products through certified home site visits. This accreditation course will provide real estate professionals with an understanding of the green home consumer market segments and prepare them to market and sell a green home.

He will share insights and specific knowledge regarding this often misunderstood process, using lessons from the thousands of cases he has heard during his career.

Specific topics include timelines for the tax appeal process in Oregon, evidentiary rules for BOPTA and beyond, who has the right to appeal, who can represent the petitioner, the hearing process, and more.

Earth Advantage® invites REALTORS® to learn about ADUs! This half-day course is intended for brokers who need to increase their knowledge about accessory dwelling unit (ADU) development, in order to respond to increasing client demand for properties with ADU potential. Many prospective home buyers are interested in building an ADU on their property. This course is intended to help brokers understand the basic planning and building regulations for ADU development in the City of Portland in order to better assist their clients.

This course will be taught by Kol Peterson, who built his own ADU in NE Portland and has since been teaching homeowners, real estate professionals, builders, and designers about ADUs.
