Real Estate Valuation (Portland)

Take a real estate course at Portland State University (PSU) this fall! Real Estate Valuation (FIN 410/RE 539) will cover the fundamentals of appraising real estate, focusing on valuation techniques for income-producing real estate assets.

The course will be taught by Owen Bartels, and is open to current PSU students as well as non-degree seeking students. Interested parties who are not PSU students should contact Gerry Mildner for registration assistance.

Real Estate Law (Portland)

Take a real estate course at Portland State University (PSU) this fall! Real Estate Law (USP 538) will provide a summary of real property law, with an emphasis on transactional issues, types of ownership, descriptions of property, easements, public and private limitations on use, real estate contracts, forms used in ownership conveyances, and more.

The course will be taught by Alan Brickley, JD, and is open to current PSU students as well as non-degree seeking students. Interested parties who are not PSU students should contact Gerry Mildner for registration assistance.

This course will start Tuesday, October 1st and continue Tuesdays through December 14th, 6:40 PM to 9:20 PM.

Real Estate Finance (Portland)

Take a real estate course at Portland State University (PSU) this fall! Real Estate Finance (RE 521) will introduce fundamental concepts, principles, and analytical techniques of real estate investment and finance. This will include characteristics of commercial real estate market and real estate as a financial asset, investment strategies, proforma statements and financial spreadsheet modeling, data analytics, project evaluation, risk management, and more. The course emphasizes technology and real estate analytics using tools such as Excel, Tableau, and CoStar.

The course will be taught by Julia Freybote, Assistant Professor of Finance and Real Estate at Portland State University, and is open to current PSU students as well as non-degree seeking students. Interested parties who are not PSU students should contact Gerry Mildner for registration assistance.

This course will start Monday, September 30th and continue Mondays and Wednesdays through December 13th, 4:40 PM to 6:30 PM.

PSU Fourteenth Annual Real Estate Conference (Portland)

Portland State University invites real estate professionals to their annual conference. Sam Chandan, the Associate Dean of the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate, is keynote speaker. He will update the crowd on national real estate dynamics, financial markets, and their influence on the region. Afterward, the audience will discuss regional challenges and uncertainties impacting the commercial real estate industry.

Oregon brokers may earn 2 CE credits for attending.

Join the Portland State University Master of Real Estate Development program and local commercial real estate professionals for this annual networking event! Connect with industry colleagues and congratulate scholarship winners after a short scholarship presentation.

This event is free, but reservations are needed. Appetizers will be served and a cash bar will be available. All real estate professionals are invited!
