Our Data Accuracy team manages all reports of property listing errors, tracking 34 specific issues outlined in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmlsweb.com\/v2\/public2\/loadfile.asp?id=5545\">RMLS Rules and Regulations<\/a>, and is responsible for addressing subscriber questions and concerns regarding listing accuracy whether those are submitted via the \u201cReport Issue\u201d button on a listing, through email, or by phone. When there are increases in specific violation types, we often place notifications on RMLS<\/em>web<em> in order to alert subscribers so that they can avoid violations.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AUGUST HIGHLIGHTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When entering a residential listing, it is important to make sure that the correct property type is listed. There can be some confusion about what the property type should be for a listing. Fortunately, we have a handy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmlsweb.com\/v2\/public2\/loadfile.asp?id=47\">document<\/a> that defines property types that you can bookmark in case you need it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/rmlscentral.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13502\" width=\"725\" height=\"866\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rmlscentral.com\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/image.png 725w, https:\/\/rmlscentral.com\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/image-251x300.png 251w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 725px) 100vw, 725px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FORMAL VIOLATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/rmlscentral.com\/2014\/02\/28\/mls-insight-rmls-committees-in-action\/\" target=\"_blank\">RMLS Rules and Regulations Committee<\/a> reviews all <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rmlsweb.com\/v2\/public2\/loadfile.asp?id=154\" target=\"_blank\">formal complaints<\/a> which allege a violation of the RMLS Rules and Regulations. The committee has the power to impose sanctions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The committee did not review any cases in August 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>INFORMAL VIOLATIONS &amp; COURTESY NOTICES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In August 2021, the RMLS Data Accuracy staff reviewed 31,260 listings in addition to the 490 notices sent through the &#8220;Report Issue&#8221; button on RMLS<em>web.<\/em> Of the items reviewed, 1,275 violation notices and 2,018 courtesy notices were sent out.
