Brush up on Year Built Description terms!<\/h2>\n

<\/font>\"\"<\/a>This year’s Forms Change went into effect on August 3rd, 2011. One of the important changes this year\u00a0is that the Year Built Description field\u00a0is now\u00a0required for Residential listings only. The addition of this requirement will help us report on new home sales versus existing home sales statistics.<\/p>\n

With the different options available to select for the Year Built Description field, we thought a refresher on what the different terms mean may be beneficial to subscribers. Here is a list of the available terms and their meaning:<\/p>\n

APPROX:<\/strong> Approximately \u2013 Year Built indicates the approximate year in which the home was built.<\/p>\n

FIXER:<\/strong> Fixer \u2013 Needs Repair.<\/p>\n

NEW:<\/strong> New \u2013 Construction completed, but\u00a0home has never been occupied.<\/p>\n

PROPOSD:<\/strong> Proposed \u2013 Not yet under construction.<\/p>\n

REGHIST:<\/strong> Home is on the Register of Historic Homes.<\/p>\n

REMOD:<\/strong> Remodeled – Some or all of the home has been remodeled.<\/p>\n

RESALE:\u00a0<\/strong>Resale \u2013 Existing home for sale.<\/p>\n

RESTORD:<\/strong> Restored – Homes restored to original condition.<\/p>\n

UNDERCON:<\/strong> Under Construction \u2013 Ground broken and construction actually under way.<\/p>\n

UNKNOWN:<\/strong>\u00a0Unknown due to loss of county records.<\/p>\n
