National Rebuilding Day (Portland metro area)

FreeRebuilding Together organizes volunteers on the last Saturday in April each year to complete home improvements for low-income homeowners. (Other individual projects are organized throughout the rest of the year.)
Rebuilding Together started over 30 years ago, with an act of grassroots activism and community engagement in Midland, Texas. A Portland affiliate started in 1990 to bring volunteers and local communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners in the area.
