Portland GiveBack for Raphael House

FreePortland GiveBack is Benefiting Raphael House With Local Art
On May 30th, 2013, from 4:30-9:00 pm Portland GiveBack will team with Oregon First to feature the work of local pastel artist Andrea McFarland to benefit Raphael House of Portland. Raphael House domestic violence agency dedicated to ending intimate partner violence for good.
Just one block up from MLK and Alberta at 5136 NE Garfield Ave, the event occurs on the last Thursday of May, during the Alberta Street Art Walk. This free event will be catered by The Great Escape Catering, and beer will be provided by Rail Side Brewing. Raphael House’s emergency shelter serves families fleeing domestic violence, and their space comprises 50% of the total bed space for victims of domestic violence in Multnomah County.
Andrea’s work is done in dry pastel and features scenes of the Columbia Gorge. Her calming, peaceful work captures Oregon color and weather, creating a contemplative, serene sense of place.
The event is free and open to the public. All donations and 50% of all art sales will go toward Raphael House and its programs.
