Thriving Cities Alliance Inaugural Event

In the past year, key players in the public and private real estate sectors have joined together to form the Thriving Cities Alliance to implement the Community Investment Development Ready Communities program. The alliance includes the Urban Land Institute Northwest, Portland State University, Metro, 1000 Friends of Oregon, Home Builders Association of Metro Portland, American Institute of Architects Portland Chapter, American Planning Association Oregon Chapter, and the Port of Portland.
The Thriving Cities Alliance will host its inaugural event at the Governor Hotel in Portland on Wednesday, February 5, 2013 from 7:30am-9:00am.
The keynote speaker will be Rollin Stanley, who is widely regarded as one of the top planning directors in North America. A panel of speakers will appear, including Clyde Holland of Holland Partners Group, Wim Wiewel of PSU, Metro Council President Tom Hughes, Port of Portland’s Keith Leavitt, and Jason Miner of 1000 Friends of Oregon.
