In mid-September RMLS™ will be rolling out a streamlined Listing Load workflow for our subscribers. Changes include many compiled suggestions of our subscribers. Here is an overview of some of the enhancements that will be included with this version of Listing Load.
Listing Load Screen
- To provide more viewing area the sidebar is no longer shown on listing load pages.
- The listing load Search Criteria can now be collapsed or un-collapsed by clicking on the section label.
- The “New Listing” and “Unlisted Sold” buttons have been moved from beside the search criteria to below.
Search Results
- Search results can now be displayed as a list view or detail view.
- A thumbnail image of the first listing photo and map point have been added to both views.
- The columns have been re-ordered in the list view.
- The detail view tab will show search results on left-hand side of the page, with listing specific information on the right which displays the summary, photo, map, agent full, tax full and history reports.
Add/Modify Listings
- When adding a new listing, the tax ID search is now built into the “New Listing” edit page.
- When adding or modifying a listing, the one long page has been broken up into section heading tabs, located on the left-side of the screen.
- You can now add and modify photos and captions from within the listing edit session.
- Date fields now display a calendar pop up to facilitate date selection. Dates can still be typed directly into the field.
- To make the links to the help text on the page more obvious, the help text is now highlighted as a hyperlink. The field labels are blue with dotted underlines, indicating they are help links, and the mouse pointer will change to show a small question mark on rollover.
- Listing edit screen now includes a Forms Alert tab to show the list of alerts related to listing completion rules such as missing required fields, date range violations or data type violations.
- When working on an in-progress listing auto-save runs every ten minutes. You can also save manually.
- At the top of the in-progress edit page now indicates a percent of all fields (excluding supplement fields) that have been filled on the main listing page.
Well done. Thank you.
Nobody asked me!! How can I turn off the photos to be able to see many of our listings at once instead of 3, because the photos make each line so much bigger????
At this time, there is no way to turn off the thumbnail photos and maps. If you are willing to explore a different screen resolution, our Help Desk would be happy to assist you. Their number is 503-872-8002. We will take your comment and add it as an enhancement request. Thanks you for your input.
Will the listing load work in the Chrome browser now?
Thanks for your question. For the time being, listing load will still not work with Chrome. We are maintaining the IE and Firefox whitelisting currently in place. Our goal is to include Chrome in that group, but testing with that browser is not complete. Gail for RMLS Communication
It doesn’t feel like RMLS is making it a priority to allow Apple/Mac users full use. It’s very frustrating that listing load is still not compatible.
FireFox on a Mac is compatible with RMLSweb including Listing Load. The RMLS™ Board of Directors continue to annually prioritize development projects. This topic will be presented as a project to be prioritized for 2013 development.
Sounds like some nice improvements. Is there any way to increase the character count in the public remarks section? Also a character counter would be nice. Thanks.
Thanks Gary! You will be happy to see that there is a character counter for the remarks sections included with the new release. I will relay your request for additional characters in Public Remarks to our Forms Committee, brokers who gather each year to assess the data we collect on our listing forms. Don’t forget that there is additional room for Remarks on the Supplement Forms, if any of those are appropriate for your listing. Gail for RMLS Communications
Would like to have additional space in the private remarks. Is this possible? Also more spaces in the “LBHrs/Loc/Cmb: ” fill in.
Thank you for taking requests!
Carol
We will be sure that the Forms Committee gets your suggestions! Thanks for your input.
Would it be possible to add more information to the Home Warranty section? Right now it just has check boxes for “yes” or “no”. Since the purchase and sale agreement asks for more information, such as the name of the plan and the cost of the plan, it would be great to know that information when writing an offer if the plan is being offered by the seller.
Hi Carl, When listing brokers want to include that information regarding the home warranty, you can find it in the Amenities Supplement form under the fields “Company Name” and “Price”. Supplements were added in August 2011, in order to include additional information like this that would not otherwise fit on the regular listing data sheet and agent full report. Thanks for your question!
Is there a way to save search results for a client? For example, I go into “Quick MLS”, pull up the results, go through those and come up with a set of homes. I can e-mail those to my client and myself as a “Client” list, but it would be nice to save an “Agent Full” of the same list on the RMLS.
We have been discussing enhancements for RMLSweb and would be happy to forward on your request. In the mean time you may save a list of specific MLS Numbers to the MLS Number search module. Let us know if you would like further details or assistance.
The challenge to this is that you have to manually load the numbers into the system. In larger searches this can be daunting. My searches start in the “Advance Search” format and then are winnowed down dramatically but can still end up with 20 entries when you factor in all of the available fields i.e. BMP, SSP, WTH, CAN, and EXP.
Depending on what you are doing, once you view the listings in a report (like Agent Full) and have the ones you want to select checked, you can go immediately to the ML# search and choose the “Checked IDs” button and up to 300 ML numbers will load to be saved. If you have no checked listings, this button does not appear. This could be a time-saver, and you can save up to 50 ML number searches. Please call the Help Desk at 503-872-8002 if you have trouble making this work.
Just remember there are a lot of agents that are selling Real Estate that are not so
technical with every facit of computers. Do not make things so cumbersome that we
can’t get our work done.
Thank you for your post. The overall objective of the new Listing Load module update was to create a more efficient workflow for our subscribers. Many of the changes came as a result of requests from our subscribers. We’re confident that once the module has become more familiar to you you’ll agree. In the interim do not hesitate to let us know how we can help you feel more comfortable with the module. We do offer a variety of training classes dedicated specifically to Listing Load and we are always happy to arrange a more personalized office visit / training for you and your fellow subscribers. To arrange a personalized training contact training@rmls.com.
Is there a way to check particular homes on a prospect list and remove them or put them in a shaded gray … reason why is if you have a client that has 50 matches but has looked at 30 of those already, they still appear as matches but I would like to option to remove those or gray them out as they have already been viewed and are not a match! :)
There is currently no way to do this, but we will take your suggestion as an enhancement for consideration in the future. Thanks for your input!
i am happy to hear that you are finally considering the fact that there is more than one operating system…hopfully, the Apple users won,t have to wait too much longer for you to make us happy as well.
FireFox on a Mac is already compatible with RMLSweb, including Listing Load. We are working on the iPad compatibility for listing load as well. Watch for an announcement soon.
i am sure you get this all the time, but it would be nice to be able to make changes in listing load from my ipad!
We are currently doing the QA testing to make that happen. Please look for an announcement soon.
Several of the suggestions are also ones I would make. Thanks for your hard work.
