Planning to exit the real estate industry? Need to unload extra lockbox inventory?
Hurry in to RMLS™!
RMLS™ will be ending its standard buyback of used Supra lockboxes on August 1, 2013, as part of our upcoming transition to SentriLock. RMLS™ currently buys back Supra lockboxes at a rate of $40 per lockbox, with a check issued to the subscriber one or two weeks later.
All Supra lockboxes (new or used) sold by RMLS™ after September 1st will be priced the same as a new SentriLock lockbox—$89.
RMLS™ will switch to SentriLock this fall. Events will be held around the RMLS™ region in October and November, allowing subscribers a one-for-one exchange on Supra lockboxes registered in their name. We are currently in the process of finalizing the venues for these exchange events, and subscribers should expect email invitations in early September to register.
Subscribers should also watch for an email from RMLS™ with information about which Supra lockboxes are currently registered to you. Pay attention to this information: at these exchange events, only lockboxes registered to you will be allowed for a one-for-one exchange! (Download a Lockbox Transfer Form here.)
Our trainers and staff have been giving SentriLock demonstrations at offices around the region. If you haven’t been able to see it in person, view this SentriLock demonstration video online!
Why are we changing?
Hi Holly,
Thank you for the comment. Our Supra contract ends this December.
The RMLS™ Board of Directors have been researching both Supra and SentriLock since last year. After a very in-depth investigation, including site visits to both companies, the board decided that SentriLock offers a better lockbox system for RMLS™ subscribers.
Please contact us at training@rmls.com if you would like to see a demo of the system at your office, we would be very happy to come and show the new system to you!
Thanks,
John
Changing from Supra to Sentrilock is more benefits to RMLS not the realtors. Sorry I am not trying to be rude, but this is the fact. Who is paying for the RMLS? The board of directors or the realtors? Why the board of directors make the decision without any votes from the realtors? I used to have a supra FOB and I don’t have to worry about charging it or carry an extra device in my car. Why don’t we choose Sentrilock in the fist place? I felt something fishy between the RMLS and Sentrilock. Oregon is a GREEN state, conserving energy and this system is not GREEN at all.
Hi Sang,
Thank you for the feedback. The reason we switched from Supra to SentriLock is that our Supra contract is expiring at the end of this year, and our board of directors reviewed both systems for over a year, and found SentriLock to be the better system. There are multiple methods to access the key container, replaceable batteries in the lockboxes, and the support from SentriLock is excellent. I understand that the system is new, and it will be a challenge for us to all learn to work with it, but we feel that it will be better going forward.
Thanks,
John
