Mobile-friendly Menu Bar Coming to RMLSweb

RMLS™ will soon be making a few changes to the menu bar on RMLSweb, making the site function better for mobile users. Subscribers should see the new look and feel as early as Tuesday, November 15th.

The new menu bar design on RMLSweb will be device-responsive—subscribers using mobile devices (and desktop users who decrease their browser width) will see the menu as icon on the left side of the page.

Touching the icon will expand the menu, at which point a user can then select the desired menu item from the stacked list.

Specific menu items won’t change, with one minor exception. The user name will be moved from above and made a menu item itself, under which subscribers can shortcut to User Preferences or log off.

RMLS™ knows how many real estate professionals access RMLSweb using their mobile device in the field. We’re happy to bring a feature to the site that should make this field access run more smoothly.

Questions? Subscribers can always contact the RMLS™ Help Desk at (503) 872-8002 or (877) 256-2169 about this or any other technical needs.

When I try to do an export, the drop down menu is blocked by the new bar. Can you please look into this? Thank you

It sounds like the issue might be solved by refreshing the page (Control + F5) or clearing your cache. We’ll have the RMLS™ Help Desk contact you.

This is great! One suggestion – when the bar minimizes to the hamburger menu for mobile screens or narrow browser windows, it’d be great if that space where the menu was remained blue with white hamburger icon and ‘menu’ text instead of switching to white bar with blue icon and text. It looks like the entire bar just isn’t there except for the words all the way to far left that might be overlooked (like I did myself). 🙂 Great work!

It’s ok and I appreciate that someone is busy trying to constantly change the desktop… my question is : how does it help Realtors to collapse our most frequently used tool bar into a tiny icon on the far left that can be easily overlooked? It created another step : )

      Hi Sara,

Thank you for the feedback. The previous menu bar wasn’t mobile friendly at all, and often wouldn’t respond correctly to touch inputs. This new menu bar responds properly on all devices from small phones to large computer monitors.

Another reason for the collapsibility of the menu bar is on a smaller device you really want to get it out of the way so you can maximize your limited amount of screen space for search results, etc.

      Thanks again,
